punch cards realisations

The background is made by two plans of punched cards, one plan is moved by a column from the other one so as to avoid holes.

These background cards are painted by means of other punch cards used as stencils.

These works have been made on a computer IBM130.

Example of a " continuous series " variations calculated by virtual colors . The image is made by colored squares. The points of which are randomly distributed according to their probability of presence. The local random distribution produces a grain in the image, a texture of color which was an important parameter of our work.
