First attempt:

The results were not always those who have been expected

To build a data basis for a face, we began with a drawing.

Using two drawings from two points of views, one can obtain in principle a grid of points 3D (x,y,z). All that you have to do was a measurement of the values of coordinates of the same point on the two drawings, for example x,y on one and z,y on the other. It is simple for some characteristics points, like the nose's end, but it is not always easy to find the proper correspondance. We had sometimes surprising results!
